On the afternoon of August 7, the "Dream Beyond Borders · Connect Across the Globe" Digital Economy and Tech Going Global Matchmaking Salon was held in Beijing. Li Junkai, Secretary-General of the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (ZGCTA) and Director of the Center for International and Regional Cooperation at the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST), was invited to the event and delivered a keynote speech entitled Going Global Is No Longer an Option but a Must: Internationalization Paths for Sci-Tech Enterprises from a Think Tank Perspective.

Li Junkai pointed out that Chinese enterprises' overseas expansion is undergoing a structural transformation. Their development model has shifted from single product export to the integrated and coordinated layout of technology, brand and ecosystem, making going global an imperative rather than an optional choice. As a "super connector", she introduced, ZGCTA provides all-round service support covering country-specific research, resource matchmaking, policy compliance and capacity building. It has systematically sorted out three practical overseas expansion paths: technology licensing, overseas direct investment and joint venture cooperation. She reminded enterprises to prioritize compliance, value local teams and maintain patient capital, and advised them to fully leverage various platform resources, select the right partners, make thorough preliminary preparations and reserve sufficient room for trial and error.

This salon has built a platform for sci-tech enterprises in Haidian District to exchange overseas expansion experience and conduct resource matchmaking. Going forward, ZGCTA will continue to leverage its strengths as a multilateral exchange and cooperation platform, deeply connect global think tank and industrial resources, and provide professional and targeted service support for the overseas layout of tech enterprises, to help them achieve steady and long-term international development.
